Yup, glaciers and I’m going to see them, right outside my suite as we cruise the inner passage because we are going to Alaska. It is never been on my favorite ‘to see’ places, I don’t even think it made the top 100 list. When I found out a year ago that my favorite artsy designer, Tim Holtz, was giving workshops on this Alaskan cruise, I thought, ” I’d travel in the ice just to spend a week with Tim”. DH must have heard that thought bubble because he said we should go and it would be my birthday present….. conveniently my birthday falls right during this cruise. So I called and have had this trip booked for at least 9 months. But, I haven’t been getting excited about it, I’ve even wanted to cancel several times… just can’t get excited over ice and boats .. remember the Titanic? A vacation isn’t such unless there’s palm trees and white sandy beaches and warm ocean breezes… but we got ice and glaciers, and bears and eagles and cold and rain. Now doesn’t that all sound pleasant? Everyone… and I mean everyone we’ve talked to about an Alaskan cruise has said how they always wanted to go to, or how it was their favorite cruise.. I’m still waiting to have it proven to me. The only good thing about it is the 9 hours of workshops I’ll be attending with :excitement: “Tim Holtz”. He is such a creative person and I really do like and use the Ranger products and others that he designs. I must say that in the last couple of days I have been feeling a little more tingly about the trip as I’ve found a yahoo group of other creative souls who, like me, will be taking the trip and they are making me feel more excited. This group is providing lots of much needed energy. I’ve made some ATC’s (artist trading cards) to swap and I may even make some charms for swapping as well. My ATC is a funny photo of our illustrious leader, Tim.
