switchplate1.JPGAnd a perfect day for staying inside and doing something artsy. It’s the coldest day of the season and a winter storm warning has been predicted for the weekend. I’m making a big pot of  ham and bean soup and a pot of Mexican chicken soup today… the house is going to smell great.   The pool table got moved yesterday, unfortunately the guys doing the work weren’t cute or studly, so it wasn’t as much fun to watch, but the good thing is that my scrap room/studio is ready for major organizing. It’s already a workable space, but there is so much in boxes and bags, I don’t even know what I have anymore.  My friend is coming over on Monday to help with the sorting, but I think we’ll end up playing with toys most of the day.  I really haven’t been all that motivated since before Christmas, not having a real space to create. Trying to work on the kitchen table, but everything needs to get put away so we can have dinner, and then taken out again the next morning.. plus I’m working with limited amount of supplies.  I did however get some projects done for the Cropper’s Cottage challenges this week… My day is today to plan the challenges and one of them was to alter a switch plate. I like the way it turned out using paper, crystal glaze and glitter with some embellishments on top. I’m putting it in the scrap room.  It may become one of my favorite things to alter. I wish I could alter the weather!
